Reading all about it

In my search to pass the time between interview call-backs (yes, I'm looking for work) I've been reading about a dozen blogs and message boards. This is very interesting because I'm still trying to find something worth a crap to write about. I guess I'm more analytical than artistic. I've never had the ability to just "go with the flow" when it came to being spontaneous about my musings. I rely on structure heavily in my life. Not to the point of OCD or anything, but I have certain ways of doing things, certain things I do and certain times I do it. That's one of the reasons that there are so few postings in this blog...I just don't have much to write about because there isn't much going on in my life right now. Doesn't make for the best reading, I know.

One thing I've found is that anything I don't want to do, such as cleaning or organizing, will get done quickly once I start it. I used to whine and complain about doing stuff like yard work because who wants to do that crap when it's 90 degrees outside and the humidity is 147%? However I've found that my wife and I can get it all done in about 1 -1 1/2 hours if we just do it! I know that a certain amount of planning (henceforth known as The Plan) is required so that you don't just do stuff off the cuff.

"Russians don't take a dump, son, without a plan."

And when the nasty-task is done it gives you a sense of pride, like the room is new again. It turns from someplace that you wouldn't want your worst enemy to see because of the clutter into someplace you'd hang with your family.

Hell, what do I know. I'm just rambling.
